Persuading yourself "otherwise" yesterday is the reason many of us are not where we'd prefer to be today. We spend so much time convincing ourselves that what we want could never be ours and not believing that what we need could actually be tangible. . . .
So there's this list . . . .we all have one, Whether it's written down or mentally noted. What we add to this list never seems impossible because we jot down without fear. However after self-persuasion (sometimes 19 seconds later) we scratch it off thinking "Oh I'm asking for too much". Are You, or are you afraid that if you get it you'll misuse it? Maybe you feel like it'll intimidate you if you're ever presented with it. Maybe you think it's not in your means. Maybe you just don't feel worthy of it.
We dream for a reason; They're meant to be pursued. Should we think about them before going after them? ABSOLUTELY! But should we water them down to fit current mindset? ABSOLUTELY NOT! What you wish today may not be what you pursue tomorrow, but it IS a desire for a reason. Whether it's to finish that book, start that business, take that vacation, date that person or open your heart up to change. DO IT! Plan some time and just write: a word at a time, research what that business requires to get started: Google is free. Save and Prioritize for that vacation: stop putting it off. Accept the date (now... not with just anyone but accept it. lol). Open up your heart for change. Not every dream requires you to let your guard down and tear down your walls. (that's a process) Dreams just require a resilient doer to bring it to fruition.
"A dream is a wish the heart makes" (Walt Disney Company). The more we convince ourselves "otherwise" the more your tomorrow will look like today. You'll wake up reliving the same day: Wake up, work, come home--bed. The reality is thay our "routines" need to become less routine. Live a little. The less you live the more surprised you'll be. Live more and you won't be surprised, you'll be amazed, adding on to your experiences and expanding on what's around you. I am a guilty candidate. My mind goes constantly. . . .(my journal, S Notes, and desk full of random sticky notes are ridiculous.) I am a thinker. The danger is that that makes me an east OVER THINKER! I can think something brilliant or desire something and then say "Nahhhh Eran, that's too much", "you're doing too much", literally talking myself out of a dream or thought. My epiphany came this week as i was sitting in my car that i realized that "Hey you know what Eran; YOU ARE NOT ASKING FOR TOO MUCH! Stop being so afraid, it's okay and you know what else: your dreams aren't going to walk themselves to life, it's okay to open up your heart to be loved (I mean look how strong the last heartbreak made you lol), but seriously STOP convincing yourself that you are asking too much! Some times we are not asking we are not asking enough. I can choose to be intimidated by people who have more than I have OR I can keep working my lane and being me. "Me is pretty dope, and you know what else . . ."me". . . .you look good, you've got a lot going on for yourself AND you have a big heart. But "Me" stop burying your dreams in the dirt of your mind because they still live in the spirit of your heart. DO IT! You are your biggest hindrance and your assignment is to be your greatest cheerleader. Persuade yourself OTHERWISE and take a chance at being great. The hindrance to your greatness is your fear. BE GREAT, EXPLORE, FALL IN LOVE, and LIVE LIFE. . .NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT SCARES THE HELL OUT OF YOU!!! Find your means and live within them, BUT DREAM OUTSIDE OF THE BOX.
