This year for my birthday i went back to a place deemed the "Most Magical Place in All the Land", a place where "Dreams Come True." Disney World. Nostalgic vibes of childhood characters. The Once Upon a Time Fairy Tale Princesses. The place of imagination. Going back this time was a little different because I had my sights set on doing everything I didn't get to do the last in the Disney Parks and Universal Studios.
I walked about around these parks for five days with the biggest grin on my face. One thing I did this year that wasn't planned is i read the Imagineer's Wall full of quotes by the infamous Walt Disney. Reading these quotes reminded me of both his successes and failed attempts. There a common thing that stuck out to me reading all these: he reminded the reader on each wall to BEGIN.
These specific quotes got me ALLLL THE WAAAYYY TOGETHER. They were so simple yet so profound. I began to think about myself and things that i have began in failed in, and things that i was too afraid to begin because of the past failures. Standing at the wall i had to take a deep breath (as my eyes got a little misty). I stood there and looked at how big this place was and began to think about the small steps he had to take to piece his big dream together. The misty eyes became a salted tear stained cheek yall: GOT ME TOGETHER. smh.
The magic of your dreams dont come from a physical place, they come from within. Sometimes a small thought, or inspiration from others. Our small dreams have the power to become huge successes but they require work. Hard work, and forced dedication. I am a frequent "Journaler" so when i got home i got one of my journals and made me a "Disney Wall", it includes things i've tried and what i learned from it. How can i make my dream/plan better, what can i do to make it work i need it to? Who do i need on my team/ who needs to be removed? There are genius ideas we have that we sit on because we fear its potential to make us great. Don't let the unknown outcome keep you from trying.
You don't need Disney World to make your dreams come true. You dont need the magic in fairy tales in order for you to be great. You need a plan. Plan accordingly and the place where your dreams will come true will be where you already are.
