The weirdest, scariest, most terrifyingly annoying, "unsurest", busiest, most frightening, dumbest, "vulnerablest" place to be is in your feelings. Our feelings have a way of making us believe that what's current is "real" and that what's real is permanent. Not always the case. Our feelings are a temporary place of emotions where we set up shop, build our house and live because of the influence of them. Feelings literally influence EVERYTHING--Our mind, our heart, our spirit, our countenance, our moods. Everything. There isn't one thing that we do in our everyday lives that doesn't have the ability to "put us in our feelings"; however when we stay there....that's where the problem comes in. The influence of our feelings navigate our next steps. How we move, where we stay, how we respond. Feelings are real but they're controllable as well. Faith shows reminds us that we can trust that things will get better.
Faith is not necessarily the absence of feelings but it is the assurance that our current is temporary. How we feel ought to feed our faith. I have learned over the years that no one can simply have faith for me. I have to believe that i can be better, think better, do better, and have a changed mind. My feelings are my responsibility. People can "agree" with me but they can't change my mind. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 that Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Faith is always present; we just have to learn move beyond our feelings to tap into it. Is that an easy job? Ehhh definitely easier said than done but it is doable.
Learn to stop lurking and lingering in your feelings when things don't go the way you'd have them to go. Stop letting the "current" consume your mind so much that it robs you of what's promised. REMEMBER what God told you. Remember your birthright. Remember what you're entitled because of who our Heavenly Father is and REMEMBER YOUR STRENGTH!! There is nothing that you've been through thus far that has ended you. Your feelings may have convinced you that it was over but your faith reminded you that YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET! Don't be convinced that the world is crashing down on you just because things aren't going your way. God isn't following your blueprint. Your feelings are valid but we serve a God that is able to do exceedingly abundantly and all we could ever ask think or imagine. Your feelings are temporary--His promises are True and forever. Today MAKE the decision to live beyond your feelings and get in tuned with your faith. Speak things that are not as though they are. You're parent of your feelings and emotions; not the slave. Govern yourself in Faith and watch how your feelings shift!
